Superman / Batman #52

The cover by Ryan Sook packs an extraordinary amount of energy into a single image: a chibi-style Superman squares off against a pint-sized armored Lex Luthor at the top, while miniature versions of Wonder Woman, a red-faced brawler, Batman, the Joker, and a dark-haired figure crowd the foreground in a wonderfully chaotic melee. "Li'l Leaguers Part 2 of 2" wraps up what is clearly a delightfully imaginative arc from writers Michael Green and Mike Johnson, brought to life inside by artist Rafael Albuquerque — and Sook's cover perfectly captures the playful absurdity of DC's heaviest hitters rendered in adorably compact form.
