This Eisner Award-winning expanded edition from Faith Erin Hicks (with vibrant colors by Cris Peter) bursts with energy right from the cover, showing Superhero Girl — red-haired, masked, and fists raised — sprinting alongside a caped hero in blue, a flying figure in green, a black-clad masked character, and a civilian girl, all apparently fleeing or charging past a looming purple monster with tentacles and an enormous eye. Even a little tabby cat joins the dash, adding a wonderfully grounded touch to the superhero chaos.
