Jerry Bingham was born Gerald Joseph Bingham Jr. on June 25, 1953, in the United States. He is best known as a comic book artist and occasional writer, with a career spanning from 1979 to 2021. Bingham first gained attention for his work on Marvel Team-Up, but his most celebrated project is the DC Comics graphic novel *Batman: Son of the Demon*, a key story in the Batman mythos. His credits also include substantial runs on *Marvel Two-in-One*, *Marvel Premiere*, *Black Panther*, and *Iron Man*, as well as later work on *Batman Confidential*. Bingham’s style is clean and dynamic, suited to both superhero action and more intimate character moments. He frequently collaborated with writers such as Mike W. Barr, with whom he created *Son of the Demon*, a story that introduced the character of Damian Wayne. In addition to penciling, Bingham worked as an inker, colorist, and writer on various projects. Later in his career, he moved into commercial illustration and design, though his comic book work remains his most enduring legacy. He has not received major industry awards, but his contributions to Batman’s lore and Marvel’s Bronze Age titles have earned him a lasting place among fans of the period.
