Suicide Squad #7

The cover of this November 1987 issue says it all — brawling figures in olive and gold fill the frame as the Squad clashes hard against "The People's Heroes" in what promises to be a genuinely bruising international confrontation. A hammer-wielding powerhouse dominates the foreground while a blue-haired fighter delivers a flying kick above him, and a dark-haired woman in blue tangles with a red-suited opponent in the background — all rendered with kinetic energy by cover artist Jerry Bingham. John Ostrander, Luke McDonnell, and Bob Lewis bring "Thrown to the Wolves" to life, and if the cover is any indication, the Squad is outnumbered, outmatched, and absolutely in their element.
