Suicide Squad #10
Few crossovers carry this kind of charged energy: Suicide Squad #10 from February 1988 puts Batman face-to-face — and apparently finger-to-chest — with Amanda Waller herself, the Squad's iron-willed director giving the Dark Knight a piece of her mind in what looks like a very heated office confrontation. Jerry Bingham's cover art captures the tension beautifully, with Waller jabbing a finger squarely at Batman's bat-symbol while he stands his ground, neither one backing down an inch. Writer John Ostrander, artist Luke McDonnell, and inker Bob Lewis bring "Up Against the Wall" to life inside, promising a story every bit as combustible as its unforgettable cover.
