“What Is... and What Should Never Be”

In "What Is... and What Should Never Be," Black Panther faces a terrifying adversary in Kiber, whose experiments have fused him with the very floor of his lab, turning him into a living conduit of unstable energy. With Khanata in danger of being consumed by Kiber’s machine, the Panther must act fast to stop the conversion—and secure the last remaining human energy globe before it’s lost forever. Written by Ed Hannigan and Jim Shooter, with art by Jerry Bingham and cover by Jerry Bingham and Bob Layton, this 1979 issue delivers a tense, thought-provoking clash of science and survival.
