The Machiners and the doctors of New Haven try to understand why Diviner is comatose following her battle with Bloodmaster. They do discover that she is blind, much to the surprise of the team. Meanwhile, having completed a mission, the members of Free Force are headed back to New Haven. They arrive as the Machiners are looking through the damage caused by Killgore. Due to a series of misunderstandings, the Machiners and the Free Force assume the other is the enemy and attack each other. Only when Maxinor is in danger that the two teams come to an understanding.
