Morgan and Mariah are captured and sentenced to death because Desaad's duplicate Warlord, Y'Smalla, has been raiding villages and killing people indiscriminately. They escape, and learning that Desaad is holding Tara captive they rush to find her. Desaad plans to use his illusions to make it appear that Morgan as tortured his wife to death, but she is recued in time and Desaad leaves Skartaris, unhappy that he has been foiled.
