Dwayne Turner is an American comic book artist and illustrator, best known for his work on the *Spawn* franchise and *The Authority*. Born in the United States, he entered the comics industry in the mid-1980s, building a reputation for detailed, dynamic linework that balanced superhero action with gritty, supernatural elements. His most sustained contributions came on *Spawn*, where he penciled and inked numerous issues, and on the spin-off *Curse of the Spawn*, which he helped define. Turner also collaborated with writer Chris Claremont on *Sovereign Seven* and contributed to *Cage* and *Wolverine*, showcasing versatility across Marvel and DC properties. His style—characterized by sharp anatomy, dramatic shadows, and fluid action sequences—made him a sought-after artist for dark, kinetic stories. Later in his career, he moved into film and video game illustration, applying his comic sensibilities to concept art and promotional materials. Turner’s work on *The Authority* remains a high point, aligning him with the team’s bold, cinematic storytelling. While he never received major industry awards, his consistent output across 135 issues from 1986 to 2020 earned him respect among peers and fans. He is remembered as a reliable craftsman whose art helped shape the visual identity of 1990s and 2000s superhero comics.
