The Transformers #68

The cover of issue #68 says it all with its bold tagline — "The Humans Strike Back!" — and Dwayne Turner delivers on that promise with a striking image of an armored human warrior charging forward while a woman in a purple bodysuit leaps through a burst of light above, all against the looming bulk of a massive Transformer. Simon Furman's "The Human Factor!" looks to put flesh-and-blood characters front and center in a series usually dominated by giant robots, and the cover's dynamic energy makes that premise immediately compelling. A satisfying entry in Marvel's long-running Transformers saga from 1990.
