Four figures dominate this Turner and Regla cover against a smoldering orange backdrop — a winged woman in lingerie and fishnet stockings, a blue-skinned horned figure, a bare-chested man in a leather collar and pants, and a casually menacing character in sunglasses clutching a bottle and sporting a mechanical leg. Robbie Morrison's "Godhead Episode One" promises a bold new direction for the WildStorm team, and this December 2003 issue wastes no time signaling that the Authority's world is anything but conventional. If you're looking for superhero comics with an edge, this is a compelling place to start.
