The Authority #2

The second chapter of "Reality Incorporated" arrives with a cover by Dwayne Turner and Sal Regla that assembles the full Authority lineup in striking fashion — a caped, dark-clad figure looms at the center while teammates including a winged hero, a glowing energy-wielder, and others fan out behind him, all while a fallen figure in the foreground reaches desperately toward the viewer. Robbie Morrison's run on this WildStorm title was bringing a fresh sense of urgency to one of comics' most formidable super-teams in 2003, and this image captures that tension beautifully. If you're following the team through this volume, issue #2 makes a compelling case for why The Authority remained such a gripping read.
