Curse of the Spawn #29
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeCurse of the Spawn #29 brings the series into 1999 with a genuinely unsettling cover — a massive, shadowy creature tears through a field of jagged thorned tendrils against a smoldering orange hellscape, its fanged maw open wide and a pale, ghostly appendage coiling beside it. The raw, kinetic linework from cover penciler Dwayne Turner and inker Chance Wolf gives the whole image a visceral, almost tactile menace. With a story titled "Last Rites" and a creative team that includes writer Alan McElroy and artist Clayton Crain, this late-run issue looks like a fittingly dark entry in the series.
