Who is Superboy?

Kon-El, the Superboy known as Conner Kent, was created by Project Cadmus as a human clone engineered from the DNA of both Superman and Lex Luthor, intended as a replacement for the Man of Steel following his death. Armed with Kryptonian-derived powers as well as subtle enhancements inherited from his Luthor genetics, he was released into the world before his development was complete, eventually finding his footing as a hero alongside groups like Young Justice and the Teen Titans.

Bursting onto the scene in 1993's The Darkstars #8, this Superboy is a product of comics' Modern Age β€” a era defined by bold reinvention and fresh takes on legacy heroes. With over 200 catalog appearances spanning more than three decades and nine key issues to his name, he's proven himself a genuinely enduring presence in the DC Universe. His home turf across Teen Titans, Young Justice, and even the delightful Tiny Titans speaks to a character who resonates across tones and generations, sharing pages with heavyweights like Superman, Green Lantern, Robin, and Clark Kent himself. Whether you're a seasoned collector chasing those key issues or a newer fan diving into DC's rich legacy landscape, Superboy rewards the attention.
