Written by Beau Smith with pencils by Mitch Byrd, inks by Dan Davis, colors by Stuart Chaifetz, lettering by Albert DeGuzman, and edited by Eddie Berganza, #23 is the second chapter of the two-part 'Marauders of the Nabba' arc that had been building since Guy lost his yellow power ring. Smith has stated in interviews that the shapeshifting powers Guy acquires here were an editorial mandate intended to capitalize on the mainstream success of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, though Smith worked to embed them in a deeper mythology centered on the alien Vuldarian race. The issue carries a cover date of August 1994 and a publication date of June 1994, placing it just ahead of the Zero Hour event that would immediately follow.
