The issue was written by Mark Millar—then rapidly building his profile at DC before his landmark work at Marvel and Wildstorm—with interior pencils by Georges Jeanty and a cover by Adam Hughes. Maureen McTigue served as editor, and the credits include inkers Rob Stull, Don Hillsman, and Dexter Vines, colorist Rick Taylor, and letterer John Costanza. An editorial note inside the story explicitly places the action 'a month and a day' before the then-current Young Justice storyline, meaning it functions as a deliberately continuity-conscious fill-in that dovetails with the Young Justice ongoing series without disrupting it.
