Adventure Comics #5 / 508
In "He Primed Me, Part Two: Flame War," Superboy-Prime confronts the Black Lanterns in a desperate bid to reclaim control, only to be dragged into his own basement by Black Lantern Alexander Luthor. As the fight escalates, a Black Lantern ring rejects Prime’s grasp, erupting in light and forcing him to face memories of Laurie. Just as the past threatens to overwhelm him, Laurie arrives—offering a quiet promise that things will be all right. Written by Geoff Johns and Sterling Gates, with dynamic art by Jerry Ordway and inks by both Ordway and Francis Manapul, this pivotal issue blends emotional weight with the high-stakes intensity of the Black Lantern saga, all captured in a striking cover by Ordway and Manapul.
