Doug Goldstein (born September 12, 1971) is an American screenwriter, producer, and director best known as co-head writer on the stop-motion animated series *Robot Chicken*. He won three Primetime Emmy Awards for his work on the show, as well as three Annie Awards, including one for *Robot Chicken: Star Wars Episode II*. Goldstein’s path into comics began in the early 2000s, when he wrote for *Toyfare: The Toy Magazine* and its popular *Twisted Toyfare Theatre* feature, a satirical strip using action figures. He also contributed to *Wizard's Spider-Man Special*. Over an eight-year period (2001–2008), Goldstein was credited as a writer on 58 issues, with his most frequent credits appearing in *Toyfare* and *Twisted Toyfare Theatre*. His signature style blends irreverent humor with pop-culture parody, often in collaboration with *Robot Chicken* co-creators Seth Green and Matthew Senreich. Goldstein’s later career remained anchored in television, where he continued to produce and direct animated content. His legacy is defined by his Emmy-winning run on *Robot Chicken* and his earlier work in toy-based comic satire.
