Toyfare: The Toy Magazine #37
In a delightfully absurd twist, Spider-Man tries to solve his credit card debt by hitting the casino floor—where Professor X’s telepathy gives him an unfair edge, the Watcher’s cosmic vigilance fails to prevent chaos, and even the buffet line becomes a battleground of wits, with Boss Hogg outmaneuvering the Dukes using a clever detour sign. Amid poker tables, burlesque shows, and unexpected cameos from Dr. Strange and the Green Goblin, Spider-Man and Thor find themselves in a surreal, high-stakes night where the real prize might be the experience itself—though the money still eludes him. Written by Pat McCallum, Tom Root, and Doug Goldstein, with art, inks, and colors by Paul Schiraldi, this wild ride from Toyfare: The Toy Magazine #37 blends superhero antics with absurd humor in a way only a comic from Wizard Entertainment could deliver.
