Twisted Toyfare Theatre #2
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis second volume of Twisted ToyFare Theatre collects more of the irreverent, photo-comic parodies that ran in Wizard magazine, using action figures to spoof pop culture, movies, and comics with a satirical edge. Published by Wizard Entertainment, it continues the series' trademark blend of toy photography and crude humor, featuring recurring characters and absurdist takes on familiar franchises.
In this hilarious and chaotic installment of Twisted Toyfare Theatre #2, the Green Goblin—fresh off a starring role in a big-screen blockbuster—gets a reality TV tour of his lair on MTV’s Cribs. Inspired by his success, Venom, the Lizard, and the Red Skull team up to become Spider-Man’s next big villains, all chasing fame and fortune. But their plans go hilariously wrong at every turn, from accidental self-immolation to mistaken tire sabotage and a very confused kidnapping. The story is written by Pat McCallum, Tom Root, Doug Goldstein, Zach Oat, Rob Bricken, and Bill Jenson, with a cover by the team behind the series.

After starring in the Spider-Man movie, Green Goblin is on MTV's Cribs. Venom, Lizard, and Red Skull decide to work on becoming Spider-Man's main villains so they can make a lot of money too. Lizard tries to leave a bag of flaming dog poop on Spider-Man's porch, but accidentally lights himself on fire and gets run over. Venom deflates his tire, but it's actually Bucky's tire. Red Skull kidnaps Aunt May and sends Spider-Man her head in a box. When they are in the act of blowing up his toilet, he sprays them off his lawn, and they go to try to get on Daredevil's movie.
