Toyfare: The Toy Magazine #3
In a bizarre twist of toy-based mayhem, Mr. T attempts to explain how action figures are graded—only his iconic speech patterns render him incomprehensible. Spider-Man seizes the moment, poisons him, and takes control, methodically sabotaging a Dr. Doom figure while detailing how each alteration affects its value. When a second Dr. Doom figure arrives for vengeance, Spider-Man repeats his act with chilling precision. The story, written by Pat McCallum, Tom Root, and Doug Goldstein and illustrated by Paul Schiraldi (with inks and colors also by Schiraldi), turns the world of collectibles into a deadly game of grade and consequence.
