Toyfare: The Toy Magazine #49
In a wild twist of time and ego, Kang journeys to 1977 to prevent Reed Richards and Sue Storm from meeting at a dance contest—training his younger self to ensure victory. Meanwhile, Dr. Doom, convinced his younger self should win, inadvertently causes his own past demise. As the contest unfolds, chaos reigns until Professor Xavier unexpectedly takes the floor and claims the prize, leaving Sue both amused and awed by Reed’s graceful loss. In a haunting final moment, Xavier wakes in the present—then ends it all. A surreal, time-bending tale from Pat McCallum, Tom Root, Doug Goldstein, and Bill Jenson, with a cover by an unnamed artist.
