Toyfare: The Toy Magazine #60
In this wild 2002 issue of Toyfare: The Toy Magazine, Marvel's mightiest heroes are summoned by the Beyonder for a bizarre showdown—only those who can't swim or fly are allowed to play. With Spider-Man and Dr. Doom as team captains, the battle unfolds in unexpected ways: Hawkeye faces Bo Duke, the Green Goblin goes head-to-head with the Punisher, and even Alan Moore gets a surprise moment. From kickball to Scrabble, with costume switches and surreal twists, the chaos is pure, unfiltered fun. Written by Pat McCallum, Tom Root, Zach Oat, Rob Bricken, Adam Patyk, and Bill Jensen, and illustrated by a rotating crew including Pat McCallum, Tom Root, Doug Goldstein, Zach Oat, and Robert Bricken, with inks and colors by the same team, this issue is a gloriously offbeat comic spectacle.

Marvel heroes have been summoned by the Beyonder to battle each other. Except all the ones who can swim or fly, leaving only a few left. Spider-man and Dr. Doom are chosen as captains, and they pick their teams. Hawkeye fights Bo Duke, Green Goblin fights Punisher, and the X-Men show up but are sent away. The teams play kickball. Alan Moore is decapitated, Mr. Fantastic and Dr. Doom play Scrabble, and Spider-Man switches costumes several times. More "battle" occur. Dr. Doom team wins and advances to the next round against the G.I. Joe.
