Christina Weir
Christina Weir is an American comic book writer best known for her collaborative work with her husband, Nunzio DeFilippis. Born in the United States, she met DeFilippis while both were students at Vassar College, and the pair have written together ever since.
Weir entered the comics industry in the early 2000s, and her most prominent work came during a prolific run at Marvel. She and DeFilippis co-wrote *New X-Men* and *New Mutants*, where they focused on the younger generation of mutants, and later helmed the *New X-Men: Hellions* miniseries. Their scripts balanced teen drama with superhero action, earning them a dedicated readership. Outside of Marvel, the couple created the original series *Amazing Agent Luna* and the crime comic *Three Strikes*, and contributed to *Marvel Select Flip Magazine*.
Weir’s style is character-driven and dialogue-heavy, often exploring themes of identity and belonging. Her key collaborator remains DeFilippis, with whom she shares co-creation credits on several titles. She was active in the industry from 2003 to 2018, credited on 86 issues. Though she has since stepped back from regular comics work, her contributions to X-Men lore and original creator-owned stories have left a lasting mark. She has not received major solo awards, but her team efforts remain respected by fans of the genre.
