New X-Men #14
In "Dance Hall Days," the New X-Men buzz with nervous energy as the school dance approaches, turning the usual teen drama into a powder keg of crushes, secrets, and shifting alliances. With emotions running high, Laurie’s unexpected use of her pheromone powers throws a wrench into the evening, while the Blob’s visit to Kevin’s therapist—unbeknownst to anyone, Laurie’s estranged father—hints at deeper connections beneath the surface. Written by Nunzio DeFilippis and Christina Weir, with art by Paco Medina and inks by Juan Vlasco, this 2005 issue captures the messy, heartfelt chaos of teenage life at the Xavier Institute, all under Michael Ryan’s striking cover.

The students prepare for a school dance and tensions and emotions run high as everyone tries to figure out who to take as their date. The dance goes relatively well until Laurie uses her pheromone powers to force David to kiss her in order to get back at the cheating Josh. Meanwhile, Blob visits Kevin's shrink (whom nobody knows is secretly Laurie's estranged father) and he encourages him to do what feels best for him (and what feels best for the Blob is usually beating up X-Men).
