Marvel Select Flip Magazine #9
In "Dangerous Part Three," the New Mutants confront the haunting presence at their school, discovering it's the spirit of Jeffrey Garrett, a young teleporter caught in the mansion's past explosion. With a seance that brings the ghost into the physical world, Jeffrey begins attending classes—while Josh navigates a quiet moment with Laurie and her mother, and a secret conversation between Josh and Rahne takes an unexpected turn, all as Kevin starts therapy, unaware of the ears listening in. Written by Nunzio DeFilippis and Christina Weir, with art by Carlo Pagulayan and inks by Norm Rapmund, this issue blends supernatural mystery with intimate character moments, all rendered in vivid colors by Pete Pantazis, Soto, and Tom Chu. The cover by John Cassaday and Rick Ketcham captures the eerie, emotional tone of the story.

The New Mutants learn that the ghost that has been plaguing the school is the spirit of Jeffrey Garrett, a young teleporter who got caught in the blast when the mansion was attacked. They hold a seance to contact him and he proves to be corporeal enough to begin attending classes at the school. Josh has dinner with Laurie and her mother and kisses her at the end of the date. Josh and Rahne have a serious talk about their secret relationship, little knowing that Kevin can hear every wird they say. Kevin begins to see a therapist.
