Brandon Choi
Brandon Choi is an American comic book writer whose career is most closely associated with WildStorm Productions, where he helped shape some of the publisher's defining titles during the 1990s boom in creator-driven superhero comics. No public record of his birth date or birthplace is available.
Choi entered the industry in 1993 and quickly became a central figure at WildStorm, co-developing the team books WildC.A.T.s and Gen 13, both of which became flagship properties for the imprint. His work on WildC.A.T.s helped establish the gritty, kinetic aesthetic that distinguished WildStorm from its mainstream competitors, while Gen 13 balanced superhero action with a lighter, character-driven tone that earned the series a devoted following. He also contributed substantially to Deathblow and Stormwatch, further deepening the interconnected WildStorm universe. Beyond WildStorm, Choi demonstrated range by writing for Marvel, including a run on Fantastic Four.
Over a career spanning nearly three decades and credited across roughly 192 issues through 2022, Choi proved a durable presence in mainstream American comics. His co-creations from the WildStorm era remain touchstones of 1990s independent superhero publishing, and Gen 13 in particular has sustained enough cultural staying power to inspire later adaptations and revivals.
