Wetworks #1
Wetworks #1 (1994) kicks off with Team 7 dispatched to Transylvania on a high-stakes mission to retrieve a dangerous biological weapon, only to stumble into a facility already overrun by vampires and mysterious golden liquid. When the substance coats Claymore, turning him bulletproof, Dane makes a bold decision to crack open the remaining tubes—transforming the entire team into golden warriors. The cover by Whilce Portacio and Scott Williams captures the eerie, high-octane tension of the mission, while Whilce Portacio and Brandon Choi’s writing, along with the dynamic art by Portacio and inks by Williams, Tighe, and others, set a gritty, urgent tone.
