The Gen 13 crew finds themselves in serious trouble on this December 1996 cover, as a massive, snarling beast — clutching what appears to be a boombox — tears right through the middle of the team, sending members flying in every direction. J. Scott Campbell's pencils (inked by Alex Garner) capture the wild energy perfectly: redheaded Fairchild grapples at the creature's center while teammates are scattered around her, pizza boxes and debris adding to the gloriously chaotic scene. With Luke Ross, Al Rio, and Sandra Hope handling interior art duties, this issue of Image's fan-favorite super-team title delivers exactly the kind of kinetic, anything-can-happen energy that made Gen 13 such a standout series of its era.
