The Kilroys

From 1947 to 1955, American Comics Group chronicled the madcap misadventures of three fun-loving sisters in The Kilroys, a lighthearted humor series that ran for 54 issues. Most frequently written by Al Hartley, Hubie Karp, and Bob Wickersham, with art by Owen Fitzgerald, Wickersham, and Hartley, the strip offered a postwar take on sibling rivalry and teenage antics. While never a major star, the series stands as a charming, long-running example of the all-girl gag comic that flourished in the late Golden Age.
