When the Kilroys finally cave to their kids' pestering and bring home a television set, the whole neighborhood takes notice—and invites themselves over night after night. What started as a way to keep the family home turns into an endless stream of hungry guests, mounting bills, and one frazzled father who's had just about enough of the whole television craze.

Natch and his pal Jackson head to Enchanto Island for a peaceful camping getaway—no girls, just two guys and the great outdoors—until they stumble upon Miss Piggett's School for Girls summer camp on the other side of the island. When one of the girls slips Jackson a secret note with instructions to meet them after dark by hooting like an owl, the boys launch a comedy of errors trying to pull off the rendezvous without getting caught.

When the Kilroy kid borrows his girlfriend's father's motorcycle to pick up ice cream—and decides to wear the cop's uniform as a joke—he runs straight into Judge Seward and gets slapped with a summons for impersonating an officer. Now he's facing thirty days in jail, unless Judy's quick-thinking mother can find a way to remind the judge that he wasn't always so righteous himself.
