Jo, a perpetually on-the-go teen, dashes to school with a mission—avoiding tardiness—but ends up sidetracked by a series of small heroics: catching a fleeing crook, swerving to save a lady from a speeding car, and reuniting a lost girl with her family. Naturally, when he finally arrives, no one buys his story, and his excuses fall flat.
