The Kilroys #24

When Natch and Jackson learn that fishing season opens on the same day as their mandatory museum field trip, they hatch a plan to skip out and hit Parder's Pond instead—only to discover their teacher Miss Crunchpitt is somewhere nearby, apparently hunting them down. What follows is a slapstick chase through the woods and around the pond as the two boys try to escape, complete with mistaken identity gags and increasingly desperate hiding spots, all while Miss Crunchpitt closes in from every direction.

When Grandmaw Kilroy arrives for dinner, she's thrilled to see her grandson's souped-up jalopy—but the neighbors aren't, and they show up furious about the noise. The family drama explodes when his father orders him to sell the car, and on his birthday no less. But Grandmaw has other plans: she buys herself the hottest rod in town, and she's not about to let a little speed limit slow her down.

When Natch wins a little cash and decides to impress the wealthy Margie Moola, he enlists his pal Jackson as a chauffeur—but his scheme to show her how the regular kids live takes a hilariously expensive turn at every stop. As Natch's money dwindles faster than expected, Jackson comes up with a solution that might just save the day, though not quite in the way Natch had planned.
