The Kilroys features humorous domestic and situational comedy. One story involves a street sweeper named Wilbur Morton who, after being instructed to wear a coat while collecting glitters on Ivy Street, mysteriously ends up at the wealthy Morton mansion, where he impresses the residents and attempts to court a young woman named Judy, eventually winning her affection. Another story follows a crow who steals cheese from a character, leading to a comedic back-and-forth argument about the crow's poor singing voice and the character's attempts to retrieve the stolen food.
