In "Natch," a man entrusts his son Natch with a portfolio containing $500,000 in bearer bonds to register and deliver on the noon plane, but Natch loses the bonds when a gang of girls—who want to start their own club exclusively for girls with no men allowed—trick him into giving up the portfolio after he gives them a ride. The girls then attempt to retrieve the bonds for themselves, leading to a series of misadventures. The cover features "The Kilroys," America's Funniest Family, in a hunting scene with comedic mishaps involving animal encounters.
In this lighthearted 1953 tale from The Kilroys #44, Wilbur’s cousin Jo arrives for a visit, setting off a chain of mistaken romantic intentions. When Wilbur schemes to steer her toward Natch, things take a surprising turn as Jo unexpectedly finds herself drawn to Jackson instead.
When Natch and Jackson decide to camp alone after all the girls head off to summer camp, their quiet getaway takes an unexpected turn—literally right next door to Judy and Portia’s campsite. With no warning and no escape, the two boys find themselves in the middle of a summer full of awkward encounters and accidental eavesdropping.
In "Bye, Bye, Bonds!", Mr. Kilroy’s forgetfulness sets off a chain of comic misadventures when he sends Natch to the airport with a half-million dollar bond—only for Natch to pick up Jackson on the way to a music lesson. What follows is a whirlwind of mistaken deliveries, misplaced priorities, and a detour to the city dump, all while the bonds take an unexpected journey to California.
In "The Big Promotion!" from The Kilroys #44 (1953), Katie and Portia rally the girls of town to create a clubroom of their own, launching a benefit dance to fund the dream—complete with a special appearance by Lawrence Welk. With the event nearly ready, Katie’s enthusiasm hits a snag: she forgot to set aside money to pay the band.
