About the series

In the 1990s, DC's Shade, the Changing Man redefined the surreal superhero with a darkly psychological and punk-infused edge. Written primarily by Peter Milligan with early art by Chris Bachalo, the series followed the alien fugitive Shade and his human partner Kathy George through a landscape of madness, metafiction, and social commentary.
