Duncan Fegredo's cover for this January 1996 Vertigo entry is a swirl of color and romance — a figure in wildly patterned, star-studded attire soars through an explosion of confetti and fire, cradling a dark-haired woman as pink hearts drift above them and golden wings frame the scene. It's an image that somehow manages to feel simultaneously chaotic and tender, perfectly suited to Peter Milligan's long-running meditation on love and madness. "The Fool of the Forth" promises another characteristically offbeat chapter from the Milligan/Case/Tolagson team.
