Jamie Hewlett's cover for this September 1991 issue is a swirling, psychedelic fever-vision that earns the tagline "…this is not a dream" with every brushstroke. Two dark-haired young women stand wide-eyed amid a surreal landscape of giant flowers and a stitched red mass, while a grinning masked figure and a flame-haired, kaleidoscopic form loom above them in a blaze of color. Peter Milligan, Chris Bachalo, and Mark Pennington bring the same restless imagination to the interior, making this mature-readers title one of DC's most distinctive voices of 1991.
