Classic horror comics — the lurid, pre-Code terror of the early 1950s. Before the 1954 Comics Code gutted the genre, publishers like Star Publications, Comic Media and Ajax-Farrell packed the racks with ghouls, graveyards, and shock endings in the EC tradition. These restored public-domain issues capture horror comics at their most unrestrained.
