# If the Devil Would Talk The Devil boasts to scholars about his six-century plan to corrupt intellectuals by making man's thoughts more important than God's revelation, thereby blinding philosophers to spiritual reality and spreading error through schools, press, and entertainment. He orchestrates the rise of a charismatic politician who uses atheistic arguments about evolution and materialism to gain power, convincing people they need no God and can rule their own destiny. After the politician becomes governor and then president-for-life, he implements totalitarian policies including a no-strike law and forced labor, while suppressing press freedom and detaining reporters who attempt to expose his regime. The story serves as a cautionary religious allegory about the dangers of atheism, materialism, and unchecked political power.
