After Beast Boy is taken into custody for the murder of Magilla, Nightwing prepares to make a trip to Los Angeles. But before Nightwing can get there, Beast Boy sees a doppelgänger outside his cell and heads out in pursuit. Gar loses the trail of his twin, who abducts Gar's old co-star Vicky Valiant. Beast Boy heads for Matt's apartment where he is greeted by Fear and Loathing. After a prolonged fight, they flee, leaving Matt and Gar to the L.A.P.D. Once Beast Boy is back in prison, Beast Boy's twin makes a call on Gar's old producer, Don Dickerson, but Nightwing arrives demanding answers.
