Justiniano
Justiniano (born Josue Rivera) is an American comic book artist who worked across DC, Chaos!, and Marvel from the mid-1990s into the 2010s. He is best known for his work on the *Doctor Fate* feature in the *Countdown to Mystery* miniseries, collaborating with writer Steve Gerber. His other DC credits include *The Titans*, *The Flash*, *Beast Boy*, *The Human Race*, *Day of Vengeance*, *The Creeper*, and the weekly series *52*. At Chaos! Comics, he drew *Evil Ernie*, *Chastity*, and *The Omen*, often working with writer Brian Pulido. He also contributed to Marvel’s *Incredible Hulk*. His style is marked by dynamic, detailed linework suited to both superhero action and horror. Key collaborators include Geoff Johns, Ben Raab, Bill Willingham, and Steve Niles. Born in Puerto Rico, he later lived and worked in Connecticut. In 2011 and 2012, Justiniano was convicted on charges of possessing child pornography, to which he pleaded guilty. These convictions have defined his legacy, overshadowing his artistic output.
