Teen Titans #23
Twilight of the Teen Titans" looms large over this twenty-third issue, and Mike McKone and Marlo Alquiza's cover captures the weight of that promise — a massive, sprawling assembly of Titans past and present surrounding a central figure in white who raises a blazing sphere of energy skyward, while the Flash watches from above and a green-costumed hero stands firm to the right. Geoff Johns was clearly building toward something consequential in "Lights Out, Part Three: Secrets and Lies," and this crowded, luminous cover — packed with familiar faces from across the team's history — reflects exactly that sense of a reckoning arriving. A compelling snapshot of one of DC's most ambitious Titans runs.
