Peter Raspoutine
Peter Raspoutine is the French-language identity of Piotr Rasputin, the Russian mutant known as Colossus. A gentle giant from a Siberian farming family, he can transform his body into organic steel, granting him tremendous strength and durability, and joined the X-Men to use his gifts to protect a world that fears mutants.
Few characters can claim a Bronze Age debut as storied as Peter Raspoutine's, who first graced the pages of Spécial Strange #10 in 1977 — brought to life by the legendary team of Chris Claremont and Dave Cockrum for Editions Lug's beloved French-language line. Over nearly five decades, he has accumulated 205 catalog appearances across Strange, Spécial Strange, and Titans, sharing his adventures with the likes of Ororo Munroe, Tornade, Logan, and Kurt Wagner — an electrifying roster that speaks to the rich, action-packed world he inhabits. With 16 key issues to his name, this is a character whose footprint in the Franco-Belgian comics landscape is impossible to ignore, a genuine collector's treasure spanning the Bronze Age right through to today.
