Mystique, Rogue and Destiny battle Hybrid until they learn that Rom is their common enemy and decide to team up. Rom learns from Torpedo that Hybrid has returned and flies off to battle him. During the ensuing fight, Destiny learns that Hybrid plans on breeding with mutant females (including the Brotherhood gals) so they turn on him. Rogue touches Hybrid to absorb his powers while Rom blasts him with his neutralizer. In the aftermath, Rogue discovers that when she touched Rom, she got a sense of his strong moral center and was attracted to the feeling of being good.
