About the series
Launching in 2011 as part of DC's New 52, Batwoman stars Kate Kane in a visually stunning solo series defined by the lush, intricate artwork of J. H. Williams III, who also co-wrote the early arcs with W. Haden Blackman. The series deepens Kate's world as she balances her vigilante duties with the military discipline of her father, Colonel Jake Kane, and her complicated relationship with her cousin Bette Kane. Following the creative team's departure, Marc Andreyko took over writing, steering Batwoman through supernatural threats and a confrontation with Batman and Superman.
