Batwoman #2

Part two of "Hydrology" arrives with one of the most arresting covers of DC's New 52 launch: Batwoman — her chalk-white face grimacing, red hair billowing — is dragged beneath churning, teal-green water by enormous skeletal hands reaching up from the depths. J. H. Williams III's cover work is painterly and deeply unsettling, blending beauty and dread in a single breathtaking image. If this cover is any measure, the series is already operating at a remarkable level of craft.
