Batwoman #11
Part six of "To Drown the World" arrives in this 2012 New 52 entry, with J. H. Williams III's cover depicting Batwoman locked in a desperate, close-quarters struggle against a grotesque, decaying figure whose writhing tendrils and swirling green-and-red energy fill the composition with an unsettling, almost surreal dread. Williams's art brings his signature Art Nouveau sensibility to the confrontation, weaving the two figures together in circular forms that feel both beautiful and suffocating. With Williams and W. Haden Blackman writing and Trevor McCarthy among the interior artists, this concluding chapter of the arc promises the same striking visual ambition that defines this run.
