Batwoman #16
Batwoman #16 brings the "World's Finest" arc to its fourth chapter with a cover by J.H. Williams III that is genuinely hard to look away from — Batwoman and Wonder Woman are ensnared in the crushing coils of an enormous serpent, all rendered against the looming, skull-eyed face of what appears to be a mythological adversary. Williams and W. Haden Blackman's New 52 run has consistently pushed the visual boundaries of superhero comics, and this 2013 issue, with colors by Dave Stewart, is a vivid reminder of why.
