Batwoman #14
Part of DC's New 52 line, Batwoman #14 brings together two of DC's most formidable heroines as Batwoman and Wonder Woman face down a towering, otherworldly stone-skinned figure whose body crackles with swirling ethereal energy. J.H. Williams III's cover composition is striking — flanking the looming central threat, Batwoman in her red-and-black suit stands ready on the left while an armored Wonder Woman, sword in hand, holds her ground on the right, all set against a desert mesa backdrop and framed by a bold geometric design of stars and lightning bolts. The third chapter of the "World's Finest" arc, written by Williams and W. Haden Blackman, promises the kind of visually ambitious storytelling this title does so well.
